Facial Rejuvenation: Forehead
Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Citarella published in the prestigious American peer reviewed journal of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, official journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), describing the minimally invasive treatment of face rhytids.
Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Citarella state in this article that ‘The use of injectable agents, specifically BTX-A, has risen dramatically over recent years for the treatment of forehead transverse lines, due to the increased demand for minimally invasive techniques. The cost though of BTX-A remains one of the primary concerns for repeat application and patients seek a more definitive treatment.’
Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Citarella conclude in this article that ‘This is a non-endoscopic low cost and easy to perform procedure that has not been previously described and provides another option in the armamentarium of surgical interventions that can be used for the treatment of horizontal forehead lines.
