Transaxillary Breast Augmentation: A Prospective Comparison   of Subglandular, Subfascial, and Submuscular Implant Insertion.

Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Pereira published in the prestigious peer reviewed journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, official journal of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), describing the results of transaxillary insertion of silicone implants and comparing the 3 different planes of insertion.
Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Pereira state in this article that ‘Transaxillary breast augmentation provides consistent, satisfactory results with ease of dissection, when properly indicated.’
Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Pereira  conclude in this article that ‘The subfascial augmentation mammaplasty has all the advantages of the subpectoral and subglandular augmentation mammaplasties and eliminates the disadvantages of increased postoperative discomfort, implant visibility, and distortion, patients of all three groups had similar rates of satisfaction.
