Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Pereira were invited to contribute a chapter in the Autologous Fat Transfer: Art, Science, and Practice book edited by Dr. Schiffman, describing their technique for pectus excavatum treatment.
Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Pereira state in this article that ‘Pectus excavatum is the most common congenital deformity of the anterior wall of the chest producing a caved-in or sunken appearance of the chest.’
Dr. Sterodimas and Dr. Pereira  conclude  in this article that ‘Mild pectus excavatum deformities can be treated by autologous fat transplantation with low rate of complications, short hospital stay, excellent long-term cosmetic results and a high patient satisfaction.
